Norfolk concierge is the brainchild of Nick and Alex Ware who moved from Surrey to the North Norfolk Coast with their young children in 1988, having come to know and love the area during many holidays and long weekends.
With a law degree from Kingston University, Alex trained as a solicitor in London, qualifying in 1977. She has had considerable experience of property law, working in-house for a residential and commercial developer, in private practice and latterly for ten years as a principal solicitor with an in-house legal team in Norwich. Alex holds a practising certificate from the Solicitors Regulation Authority. A love of theatre (including both acting and directing) and the cinema has provided ideas for successful private parties as well as fundraising events for national and local charities. A candlelit dinner at the Town Hall with principal guest and speaker Anne Widdicombe raised valuable funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. In 2016, an event to celebrate the life of Coco Chanel was held at Narborough Hall in aid of West Norfolk Mind and Loving Humanity.
With a law degree from Kingston University, Nick spent his professional career practising personal injury litigation in London, King’s Lynn and Cambridge. His legal training and many years in the profession have provided him with highly developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Nick previously served as chairman of the parents’ committee of his children’s prep school and subsequently as a governor and company secretary. As a police support volunteer with Norfolk Constabulary, in partnership with the Borough Council and other agencies, he is aware of issues and problems confronting the local community and the steps being taken to deal with them. A keen student of theatre and cinema since his school days, Nick has written, acted and directed but now, as with sport, confines his interest to that of a spectator. He supports Alex in her fundraising ventures.
